Murder Hut part 2
JUST part 2
The next day, Lane had made a list of stuff we would need for this mission. I won’t read the list, it’s not that important.
“Lane, how badly do we need this stuff?” I asked.
Lane signed, “very.”
“ok, should we get it today? And does that mean we can go on the mission in two more days, right?” I said.
Lane signed, “Yes.”
I walked to my room and grabbed the money.
“We don’t have a lot, so spend sparingly,” I said.
Lane signed, “Come?”
“Fine, whatever,” I replied. I grabbed the motorcycle keys, and then Lane and I walked out the door. Lane and I drove to a store nearby.
“Lane, you go inside, I will wait here with the bikes,” I said, lying across them both. Lane shrugged and went inside. I really wanna smoke right now, but if Lane sees me smoking, then he will smack me, and who knows what would happen after that, the cigarette could light a car on fire, or worse, to be honestly, I don’t have an example for worse, but you get the point.
Lane walks out of the store holding two bags in one hand, with the cash and list in the other hand.
“Is there anything on the list you couldn’t get?” I asked while getting on my motorcycle.
Lane handed the money and the list to me and pointed at the list. More than half the things are crossed out, and some of the things have been modified, and the rest have notes near them.
“Alright, now what other preparations do we have?” I asked, shoving the money and list into my pocket.
Lane signed, “spying and stuff.”
“What do you mean by stuff?” I asked as we started driving away. Lane didn’t answer. We got back to our house a bit later.
“So what are things I can do while we wait?” I asked, counting the cash Lane had handed me earlier.
Lane signed, “Collect the weapons that we might need later.”
While I gathered the weapons, Lane was using Morse code to contact the backup guy.
“I was wondering, is Kailab really that needed? You haven’t even gone to spy on the killers yet,” I said while cleaning the weapons.
Lane signed, “Well, if the Bag Head guy is working for or with Ezra and Naoh, then yes, we will need him.”
“Who’s naoh?” I asked as I put the weapon back in their containers.
Lane signed, “Naoh is the short guy with the cloak, the leader.”
“Who did you figure out his name?” I asked as I put the weapon containers in a bag.
Lane signed, “Ezra was mumbling, it sounded like he was either talking to Bag Head in Arabic or he was talking about Noah’s green candy. I think it was the second.”
“I don’t know how you do it,” I said, sliding the bag under the sink. Lane began walking out.
“Where are you going?” I asked when the door creaked open.
Lane signed, “spying on the murder hut. Also, Kailab is coming to look over the plan. Don’t send him away like last time.”
“Fine, whatever,” I said, sitting on the couch. Lane left, I picked up the plan and started looking through it again.
This seems to be thought through enough that we would be able to do a mission soon. But Lane clearly knows something. Just wish he would tell me what that thing is.
I put the file back on the table and walk over to try to find Lane’s notebook. Before I could find it, someone knocked at the door. I look out the window, it’s Kailab, I try to hide so I don’t have to talk to him.
